About the event
Welcome to our 'Be the Maker' summer camp at Stuff by SJ in Montclair, NJ! Get ready for a week filled with baking adventures, creativity, and tasty treats! Our camp runs from Tuesday to Friday, starting at 10 am and ending at 3 pm, perfect for kids ages 6 and up.
Each day of camp is packed with hands-on activities and delicious learning experiences. On Tuesday, it's cupcake day! Kids will learn the art of baking from scratch as they measure wet and dry ingredients, mix batter, fill pans, bake cupcakes, and unleash their decorating skills to personalize their creations.
Wednesday is all about cake pops and chocolate treats! From working with cake crumbs to melting and coloring chocolate, kids will craft their own custom cake pops and other delectable treats, all made with love and creativity.
Thursday brings more baking fun with cake baking and homemade buttercream making. Using our from-scratch recipes, kids will measure ingredients, operate mixers, bake cake layers, and whip up silky buttercream. And what's a baking day without cookies? They'll also make cookie dough from scratch and bake mouthwatering homemade chocolate chip cookies.
Finally, on Friday, it's time to put those decorating skills to the test as kids design and decorate the custom cakes they baked the day before. And to celebrate a week of hard work and delicious creations, we'll end with a pizza party!
Don't forget, kids will bring home everything they make each day, so they can share their newfound baking talents and tasty treats with family and friends. Get ready for a sweet summer of baking fun at Stuff by SJ's 'Be the Maker' camp!
